Hi all,
Not bought any PC components for years so I'm fairly clueless about whats what.
Currently have 2gb ram, AMD 3800 X2 dual core and a 7800 GT 256mb PCI-E graphics card. I'm under no illusions that this will break any records but I'm considering replacing the card to bridge over to the new year (and perhaps a whole new PC).
As it's just a stopgap I would like to spend less than £100, preferably £50 (happy with used if thats the best value option), one possible solution would be to buy something which is good for SLI and add it to a new PC at a later date? Don't want anything which requires a more powerful PSU than required by the current 7800.
I mainly play rFactor and can currenly get a decent frame rate at max detail (1440x900) with less than 10 cars - all I'm looking to do is up that to a full field of 30 or so.
Thanks!
