Yet another: What car thread

I have a 2009 - Titanium Ford Fiesta with 60k Miles on the clock, good condition 1.6 TDCi. On average I am currently getting 45 mpg and I am doing 20k per year miles.

I am trying to free up some cash without too much of a downgrade. I paid around 6k for it at the back end of last year and am just considering things for the moment.
With Diesel prices creeping up to stupid levels could I pocket some cash, maybe get something with similar running costs in a petrol / a better cruiser cruise control is pretty essential.

If this is a stupid idea then tell me off and I will listen to your advice

Sounds like a silly idea to me, particularly for a 6yr 100k mileage mondeo. Do you own the fiesta outright or is it still being paid for on finance etc?

You're not going to free up much cash this way. You need to sell your car and buy a £1k shed to make doing this worth while.

I'd keep the fiesta, Crizzys comment pretty much sums it up, and if you do 20k miles a year that 1k shed will not last long without costing you more moneys.
