Hey guys,
Virgin broadband setup:
Virgin cable modem is connected to a WGR614 Wireless Broadband Router via the ethernet link.
My PC located in the room nearby has installed a Netgear WN311B Wireless PCI Adapter on my desktop (using Windows XP SP3).
Well the problem is weird. I can connect to the internet and receive a decent (Excellent/Very Good) signal, however the problem is when I start the PC and start using internet, everything is very smooth, however after a while it starts giving me 'unable to load the page' and I have to reload a few times to be able to load the page. Weird thing is, I can play online games without any lag and when I am downloading files the speed is decent and never drops.
I am very confused here, if there is a hardware problem, why can I play games and download effortlessly but loading simple pages or a Youtube video on IE or Firefox is such a tedious task?! Please enlighten these humble servant.
Thanks in advance.
PS: I changed to Windows 7 64-bit RC and it worked fine for about a week and then the same problem as with XP all over again (maybe because of a Windows 7 update?).
