Hi Everyone,
For a long time now I’ve been using a full size Apple keyboard for my gaming and now I’ve decided it’s time to upgrade to a dedicated gaming keyboard.
My budget would be up to £200 or more if necessary.
Brands I’ve looked at so far are Keychron, NuPhy, Glorious and Ducky.
What I’m looking for is something like the Apple keyboard with quiet low profile keys.
It would be helpful if I could use it with my Mac Mini too!
Any advice would be really appreciated

NuPhy use low profile switches/keycaps but you'd have to settle for a US-ANSI key layout (no big enter, no split left shift, etc.).

The Logitech G915 Lightspeed might be worth a look given your requirements, can be had for around £140-150 currently. I'd recommend demoing it or at least buying from somewhere with good returns however as it's a touch marmite.

Not heard of them before, look like they do some nice keyboards.
I think I'd rather purchase from the UK if I can just incase there are any issues.
Yeah the only issue is that its from the US, but in general i like the look and premium feel of them

With the kind of thing I'm after its proving a bit hard to find right know unless anyone can shed some light.
I'm looking for a keyboard that's somewhere between 75-96%, has HE switches, has low noise and low profile.
So far I've only come across the NuPhy Air75 HE but not so keen on the colour.

I have a Nuphy Halo 65 and I adore it. I know that you can import a Nuphy keyboard but that takes it from a midrange cost to an upper midrange/high cost.

Rtings.com highly rates the Nuphy Air keyboard - https://www.rtings.com/keyboard/reviews/best/keyboard

Edit: it looks like Rtings.com have changed their keyboard reccomendations and there are a couple other models that they prefer over the Nuphy but it's still highly rated.

Thank you, its good to know that its a make worth considering.
I'm also considering Glorious, Wooting and Keychain as other contenders providing they can be modded at manufacture and I'm not interested in a barebones model.

Any of those have good keyboards, it’s really your choice.

See if you can go into a Curry’s store to try their keyboards out to see which switches you prefer (not to actually buy anything from them as they are often rubbish) - a lot of people go for linear switches for their first keyboard and end up getting tactile ones later on.

I want to get a second Nuphy keyboard with very very very tactile switches for my home use and my other one, which has soft tactile switches called Baby Kangaroo, to be used at the office.

You might consider getting some neoprene pads to dampen the sound of the keyboard if you’re working in a particularly quiet environment and don’t want to disturb anyone else.

Hope this helps

But how?
I've only ever used a Mac keyboard!
Well go to Curry’s and try typing with a tactile keyboard.

I can’t help you feel a sensation that is a personal preference and hard to describe.

It’s like one particular genre of music you like more than others, why you prefer it is impossible to really say.

You need to go experience it for yourself.
