Finally managed to overclock the processor. I had to turn the RAM down a little when I adjusted the CPU bus frequency but that's OK.

So. I have an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz now running at 4.1GHz per core. At the minute it's at 30 degrees according to Core Temp. Getting a different air cooling system shortly.

So yeah. Yey! THanks for all your help : P

Did a stress test...took about 1 minute for it to rise to 69 XD

do intel burnt test, and run prime95 for 6-10 hours, Then you can call it stable OC

Slightly concerned that its on a stock cooler though :eek:

Get a better cooler before you run intel burn test... that gets my cpu 15c hotter than prime95 so if you're still on stock cooling you might end up toasting your cpu!

i dont think your overclock is stable as above get good cooler or cooling system then overclock. with amd 1090t i would not go above 55 c as it will degrade your chip or it will go bust in your cenario.

Isn't CoreTemp wrong for the Phenom II X6 chips? I thought it displayed the "Core Temp" as opposed to CPU temp?
