My next show is Yngwie Malmsteen down in Wolverhampton near Birmingham ( I'm from NE Scotland ) with long known pals there from a different chat forum ... Its going to be fun, its coming up soon in September this year.

It will be our first meet in person apart from chat, so quite looking fwd to it, part of the fun for me is actually how on earth will I do this? as I am a fair bit disabled now, but where there is a will there is a way ... I've always thought in life, if you want something badly in live, you can do it, no matter the obstacles life throws at you.

Venue itself is in Wolverhampton and is called KK's Steel Mill, and its the KK from UK band Judas Priest that owns it, been meaning to visit the place for Yonks, this is my time ... soon ... its Gonna be good.

Had arranged to see same friends there before Covid for postponed shows of course and eventually refunded, but I see no stopping us now ... damn I'm excited.

Seen Yngwie live before, decades ago in Edinburgh, about late 1980's ... he is still amazing to me, please enjoy, strap on your headphones, turn up to 11 and listen intently

I am a Viking ... oh yeah!

Thanks guys ... my mistake from original posts, its in November and a Friday the 3rd I'm seeing Yngwie again at KK's. this is much better for me actually beacuse I have a lot on in Sept and had not been entirely sure I was able to make it.

Seen Ritchie live a few times over the years, Rainbow and Purple of course, Ritchie has praised the Viking many times.

SexyGreyFox ... actually own a Fender Ritchie Blackmore Strat that is scalloped fretboard too and I cant do anything decent with it ... it needs a light touch apparently, dummy middle pick up as Ritchie had for a while ... Its a keeper though.

Looking forward to seeing Yngwie again in November ... only two 2023 shows in UK ... damn!

Its scalloped all the way down the fretboard and deeper scalloped as it goes down, will post a pic shortly once I figure out my Imgur again :)

Agreed though ... Ritchie told Porkies sometimes though :)

Here is a review of the exact same same Fender Ritchie tribute Strat I own. Its a Mex Strat for sure, but still a nice Guitar and dedicated copy of one of Ritchies best guitars from his awesome career.

Ritchies guitar history ... this is quite accurate I belive ... also its a small world, but sometimes when I go on FB and because ages ago on FB I used to rant and rave about Ritchie, got to know his ex wife Babs, she still loves him I think, always posting rare pics I dillegently download and save :)

Ritchies son Jürgen Blackmore from Babs is quite shy, but a fair guitar player too.

Oh My I want a Gibson ES-335 now, but were talking 3 grand for a good one I guess?

Oh yeah, my Imgurs working again ...
