e-Returns Collection Request

This collection request is now being processed

Collection Date : 30/09/2011

Obviously I've removed my details as they're not needed, now am I wrong or does all it say is that my request is being processed for collection is being processed?

Either way I received no confirmation at all so this morning I emailed them at 10.59am with all the details and asked for confirmation that it was going to be today... the first line of the email read (yeh, I was grouchy so it was a bit short)

Would somebody please let me know if this is getting picked up today or not?

At 13.57 I get the following:

Way to go, I asked a nice simple question and they failed utterly to bother reading it, it's now 4pm and I still don't actually know if my parcels are going to picked up or not :(

Have had an issue with them not delivering and stating that they could not as there was no-one at the address. Puzzling as it was to be delivered to work which is open from 6am-8pm and has 300 workers on site.

Never had an issue with them. Better than most in fact, at least they actually knock on the door before putting a non delivery note through the letter box.

Lol, 17:01 and I finally get email confirmation... They did get picked up about ten minutes before so at least it wasn't a wasted day sat in waiting :)

Had an incident this week where their tracking system stated that there had been an attempted delivery (there hadn't) and a card had been left (there hadn't).

Thankfully everything got sorted out and I got the package a day late, but it's a little annoying to pay for next day and get messed around.

Was a thread about them a month or so ago

Some say they are ok, some say terrible
I think like most of these delivery providers you get good and bad depots/drivers

personally I don't rate them and think when they **** it up they do it in a grander way than the rest.

I find any service that seems to rely on bought in contract labour tends to be poorer than ones that use their own staff. I mean in all fields I have encountered in private and professional life

My line manager has had issues with them all this week.

They are the chosen courier for Mothercare. I can't remember Yodel's previous trading name but they renamed themselves, so I'm told, so that they could get away from the exceptionally bad reputation that had previously.

My line managers husband stayed in all day on Wednesday as they had previously dropped a card saying 'too heavy to deliver' but was obviously light enough to go on the van (It's a cot they've ordered). After a complaint they were supposed to redeliver yesterday afternoon after 3PM so she left work early and failed to deliver despite it's status being 'on van for delivery'. She then spoke to customer services who said they would call her back promptly. This was at 9:00am, when I left at 3PM today she had not been contacted.

Shocking. There's nothing but lots of bad reviews about them & their drivers, so I'm told. Quite surprised why anybody would use such a poor courier as it will only reflect badly on the retailer. If it were me I'd have cancelled my order or be seeking some gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience.

tldr: yes, they are pants.

Last Thursday I missed my laptop, If Acer were actually capable of telling me that it was coming via what ever courier I wouldn't have missed it. So I arranged a re-delivery for the Friday online, got a confirmation email. Come Friday it hasn't arrived, at half 4 I ring up, spent ~25 minutes just on hold then gave up.

I checked the tracking on Monday and it said it was 'in transit' what ever that means, so I ring them up and finally manage to speak to a human and the woman tells me that it's being held in a holding area at the depot, I ask why when I arranged for a redelivery on Friday and she didn't say anything. I ask if I could collect it from the depot that day and she said no because it's in the holding area and I asked about Tuesday and she said no again, but they could re-deliver it again for me between their normal delivery hours. Why I couldn't just go and collect it I don't know!
