Anyone else notice this on theirs? Today I was taking a shot with one of mine and noticed the AF pattern was considerably not aligned in the viewfinder, taking a look through the front window I can see that the emitter is not sitting straight in its little recess below the optical transceivers.

I figure the flashgun must have had a bump one day or something so the AF emitter got dislodged, either that or the flue holding it in is pretty weak. Going by previous YN speedlites, the latter would not be surprising.

I'm going to take mine apart as the bottom cover is held by a few screws and see if the emitter is easy to inspect.

Having just ordered new coil for a 565 For the second time I wish they'd just charge £20 more to make them reliable.

Lot of room to increase price/quality before Canon's overpriced options bedome viable to most.

Opened it up, the emitter is glued properly, it hasn't dislodged at all yet through the other side it is clearly not as flush as my other 600EX-RT... no idea what has happened here then

Think mine is like that. Thought perhaps because it was aligned for to be on target at a longer distance? Never had a different flash though so not sure if it's that normal? I assume your two flashes aren't like that?

From day 1 they have always been in the upper area of the AF zones in the viewfinder, but not misaligned. The one I'm on about is not straight aligned with the viewfinder AF points like it once used to be!
