We have the motorway, the M1.

There are no proper motorways start or end in Lancashire. The M62 is the best thing out of Manchester in both directions (best East, obviously) and the M6 the same North/South.

Of course North is better there...

Dunno, like stepping back in time though when i've been to Yorkshire ;). You guys still living in the golden age or something!

Hence my original statement, Lancashire > Yorkshire

Yorkshire is a lovely place, yes Bradford is well and truely classed as a hole, but its improving, and the outskirts are lovely.

Im from those parts and went back there over christmas... if anything it was worse than I remember it 10 years ago! The place had a bleak, almost desperate feel to it and by god id forgotten how bloody rough 75% of the people in Bradford were. Not a pleasant place, and no way in hell id ever want to live there again!:eek:

Bratford and 'ull are absolute dumps, but even taking these into account there's nowhere I'd rather live :)
