I agree completely. If I hadn't been brought up and lived in Wakey for 20 odd years, my view on Yorkshire would be different I think. As it is, I hate the place.

Netherton is lovely.

One of the nicer villages I've visited around West Yorkshire, and it lies within the Wakefield boundary.

I don't have a problem with Wakey. There are many worse places even in Yorkshire. They did live in Kettlethorpe though if memory serves so I'm not all that surprised.
