You can't mean College Grove?? That's where I grew up and it was full of drug dealers!

Very true. I grew up in a village of about 20 houses at the top of Sutton Bank for those that know the area (Cold Kirby). Fantastic place to be a kid - we'd all disappear at about 9 in the morning and come back in time for supper without having to care about anything at all.

Moved to Ripon and then to Knaresborough. Bah not as nice.

Heh, it depends which end. College Grove up near the football ground isn't too bad (that's where my flat is, overlooking the sports ground). Down near Lightwaves though is still crummy; full of immigrant housing and, as you say, drug dealers.

Aaaah yeah those little streets that go off up the hill are lovely.

Gilly, if my parents still lived there you could use their drive :p
 
Last of the Summer Wine ruined any feelings towards Yorkshire for me, as soon as it came on you got that sinking feeling "Oh no, back to school tomorrow", and besides all Northerners smell like Compo.

Im from Halifax btw pretty much as west as you can go in yorkshire.

Thats where it's at :D Now we've beaten other opposing area's it's all about locations within Yorkshire!
 
Don't be daft. West Yorkshire cannot be beaten. It has the sewer running to Manc to get rid of the rubbish, it has the footy team, the city, the nightlife, the people and the only thing it doesn't beat all of the world at is fish and chips, which North Yorkshire wins at with Whitby :)

Yup agreed, whitby best fish and chips and the best cup's of coffee at that white butty van thing neer the doughnut place.

And west yorkshire all the way for the nightlife! :D
May i ask where you from in west yorkshire?
 
Yeah Wetherby Whaler is OK. If it served its takeout in paper like it should be and not those carp plastic trays then it would be even better.
