Third time around :)

I always buy PC's off Forum recommendations and hopefully somebody will take a look at this one for me too. I'm planning on getting this. I want to buy a really cheap gaming PC. I only really use the PC for cs:go. I need everything pretty much. Nothing to salvage from the old pc.

Is this a good build? I'm not sure what power pack to buy though? I know the case is a bit expensive but I like it so I want to buy it.

Should I upgrade anything? Money not really an issue as happy to spend a bit more if the performance increase is warranted but ideally would like to keep the cost down :)

I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH THAT I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP :D

Hi

I would pay an extra £8 and get the Sapphire dual fan version of the RX 470.

Also might be worth going with 1 x 8GB Ram so that you have space for another 8GB in the future.

Also how are you planning on installing windows ? You have selected the DVD version, but the S340 doesn't have an optical drive bay.

That's fine but personally I would go with a low end i5 instead so that you can have capability for any game you want down the road. I never say "I will build a PC for task X and only task X" because especially these days PC's last a long time and confining yourself like that is not wise IMO. I say get an i5 and also a 1TB HDD for mass storage and game installs. By the way the card you have chosen is great for 1080P but if you want to play at 1440P look at (at least) an RX 480 if not a GTX 1070.

also with no optical drive you will need a USB stick to install Windows off of. you can buy windows physically as a DVD, USB stick, or online. All that matters is that you have a key. You can install it any way you want (download to USB, burn a disc, whatever you want). A key is a key is a key.

Disagree with the i5, it will do exactly 0 in 99.9% of cases, especially for CS:GO, even less so for 60hz.

I would also recommend the PowerColor 470 instead of the Sapphire one, it's just a bit better overall.

The case is a bit too large for you imo, especially when you don't plan to overclock. Might be worth thinking of a Bitfenix Prodigy, though I'd go for the itx version in that case.

I would also SERIOUSLY consider a different monitor, you have a lot of choices in the £100-200 range whether it be Freesync, VA/IPS, or 144hz. It's gonna last you the longest and it's going to make most of the difference tbh, especially for CS:GO.
