Running my opteron 144 at 2.9ghz atm with 1.57v. Only using a standard freezer 64 with a silent fan on it and temps are about 50-52c max load.

Would those temps/volts be safe for long term use? I need the extra mhz on the opteron to max out my memory you see. :)
 
lol is it safe to run a 1.8ghz chip almost with a extra ghz. well i'd say its safe providing your psu is a decent make so that rails stay stable throughout the next 1-2+ years.
Edit: doh its not a 2ghz chip afaik google goes..
 
Having read up that speed is fine providing there is sufficent internal cooling as well, would advise setting any BIOS overheat warnings\shutdowns thou...
