So I got my van today, it started life as a 2 seater LWD van and V2L removed the bulk-head added 3 extra single seats, two tinted windows and insulated and fully carpeted the loading area. Plus their body styling pack.
Cannot wait for the comments on this one :) These are dealer pics of similar van, mine has no window slot in the rear.

Is it just the style you like rather than the practicality? Wouldn't a minibus/large people carrier have been cheaper?

All ready have a VW Caddy Max, and my son has a the same but in SWB and is wheelchair adapted. The idea of having all the load space without removing seats was just a more practical solution. Plus virtually no one has any new stock till June 2022 at the earliest.

yes - whats the interior like ... it's for sleeping in ?

the wheel wells look as though they would have accepeted bigger rims, or is that the suspension travel allowance ? I'd be afraid of a lumpy ride with the low profiles though.

e:bulkheads aren't structural - or you added some bracing ?

Its has carpeted load space in the back al way around, i'll add pics tomorrow. The wheel and tyre sizes are maximum as on full lock its close to the body kit.

Drove it back 71 miles yesterday, didn't feel any different to my sons van with is the combi version wheelchair adapted.

Was told as a Van bulkhead is a legal requirement, it only bolts on no and has no structural influence, the company converts 100's of van a year.

Having spent the last week driving a brand new Transit, I can at least say that yours looks better than it will drive!

I have been driving my sons for months, I think it drives more like a car with a very high seating position.

I may have a different outlook on driving coming from Class 1 HGV, but I really like it.

Mines a manual sons an auto, even the wife likes it. Very easy to get on with day to day although I found mine a little long parking it at tesco yesterday :).

This is the logical next step for the trend for ever bigger cars.

Might as well go the whole hog and get something truly practical :D

Tbf I swapped my 3 series for a Toyota Alphard camper six months ago and it's been ace. Really useful having all that load space, and great for trips obviously!

Dunno about the low profiles though....I've got big fat tyres on mine, nice and quiet and smooth!

To be fair a van has all the benefits of an SUV whilst still having car like handling characteristics. It is the mode of transport we should all be using really.

Been using our works VW Caddy but needed something I could load more in while not looking like a panel van inside. Hence the extra 3 seats and tons of load space.

I quite like that apart from the stupid looking skinny tyres which will probably have ruined the ride quality.

Everything I owned for the last 10 years has had low profiles, with all the pot holes around here makes no odds really the roads are shocking what ever you drive. At least with low profiles you tend to try and miss most :)

Had 2 A7 biturbos with 21 inch wheels, now they where horrendous for a luxury vehicle, makes the van seem very comfortable :)

So long as you update the DVLA and insurance of the addtional seating then you're all golden, provided that there are no more than 8 seats total after the conversion. It is advised that an IVa be carried out though for the new seatbelts in the rear.

In my case seat belts are manufacture fixed to each single seat by Ford.
