You may choose one game...

I have to say in the last few months Iv bought about 5 games.

The best ones, Metro 2033 and Mass effect 2.

Also bought Fall Out New Vegas but havent played it yet.

BFBC2 is a great game though. But as you'v already got it on the PS3, I wouldnt buy it again.

Also I'v just advised a mate to get a pc with more or less exactly the same specs as you.

How does the PC perform?

Well I've gone for Mass Effect 2, the trailer grabbed my attention when browsing Steam. No doubt my willpower will wilt, however, and I'll have BFBC2, Black Ops, and Civ 5 before weekend.

I also intend to get Minecraft, but I need something to show the rig off to the g/f and try to justify the expense. If I load up Minecraft she might stab me.

You only think that's what is going to happen, in reality what will happen is you will never get a go.

Either way, it's probably best not to show her Minecraft :p

i definantly wouldnt call that a budget rig, i have similar, get Battlefield bad company 2, i had it on ps3 but on the pc its like a whole new game, it looks fantastic and it runs maxed out in dx11 with 4aa fine most of the time (bigger maps get choppy but thats because i have a dual core not a quad)

Want to see how fast your super duper new PC is ?

Arma2 / Operation Arrowhead , give them a go and see how she runs :)

14.99 on play at the moment

You made the best choice with ME2, though I would strongly suggest you get ME1 for a few extra quid.

No 2 is a masterpiece, but No 1 is another level higher in every department. They're also games that need to be played in order (the first has the greatest/ most satisfying ending of any game in the past decade).
