You Tube "Requested Format Not Available"

I Have never had a problem playing You Tube videos, but now I am getting "Requested Format Not Available" on about 50% of the videos I try to watch. This just started in the past week. Problem is the same on Chrome and Firefox so it is not a browser issue. I have updated Adobe Flash Player to the latest version which has made no difference. Any help would be appreciated.

Shouldn't need a standalone install of flash player at all to be honest. Remove it, reboot - see if it helps.

Many youtube videos are on HTML5 these days, as far as I'm aware it's the default too.
