So if you could chose 20 race circuits at which to host a GP what would they be. The circuits must exist today or perhaps be in a position with investment to be reopened, what would they be? Forget safety, forget infrastructure and forget about where they need to be, what would you chose?

I am working on mine....I'll be back.

I can tell you some that wouldn't be on the list.

Barcelona, Silverstone, Monaco, Valencia, Bahrain, Malaysia, China, Korea, Abu Dhabi...

I'm assuming this is a calendar for modern cars? Some of the old epic tracks would be dire with modern cars.

I'm not even convinced the Ring would be any good with modern cars.

In no particular order ... my first attempt :

Brands Hatch GP
Silverstone (pre-2010 layout)
Oulton Park
Spa
Old Hockenheim
Österreichring
InterLagos
Adelaide
Philip Island
Imola
Montreal
Paul Ricard (pre 86)
Monza
Estoril
‘Ring GP
Monaco
Suzuka
Road America
Bathurst
Austin - my one Tilke exception.

I'm assuming that these tracks could be mostly brought up to current standards. I'd love the Nordschliefe on there but it's not really practical so I've used the GP version.

Australia - Bathurst
Britain - Brands Hatch
USA - Road America
USA - Watkins Glen
Germany - Nordschleife
Italy - Monza (Sans chicanes)
Austria - Osterichring (Kill the A1 Ring and put is back properly!)
Belgium - Old Spa
France - Rouen-Les-Essarts
Japan - Suzuka
Monaco
Canada - Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
Brazil - Interlagos
Argentina - Potrero de los Funes
Spain - Parque Montjuïc
Czech Republic - Old Brno (The Street Circuit)
Switzerland - Bern
France - Clermont-Ferrand
Canada - Circuit Mont-Tremblant
Italy - Pescara

Not counted em, but will add more in a bit.

And THAT is why the old circuits MUST be in there. Cars will have to be more broadly thought out.

A lot of those are great choices, but if you are talking about the really old spa (used up until the 70s i believe) then it just wouldn't work with modern race cars. With modern tyres and a half decent amount of downforce you can take pretty much every corner flat out with so much room to spare its silly. On Project CARS the only cars that the track poses any sort of challenge to are the heavier of the high speed road cars with very little downforce, like the BMW M3 and the Mercedes SLS

If you are talking about the modern track before the bus stop chicane was butchered then i wholeheartedly agree

I am still not sure about Monaco. t's tradition, but in modern F1 cars it is a procession. Maybe if the had different cars for it (like Nascar had between ovals and road courses), then it might be better.
