I just built my first computer (I usually get a friend to do it) and overclocked it. Specs:
Mobo: Asus P5K Deluxe WiFi-AP
CPU: Intel Q6600 G0 (Overclocked to 3.6GHz, no voltage changes)
Mem: Corsair Dominator 2GB PC2-8500
GFX: XFX Alpha Dog Extreme 8800GT 512MB
HDD: 2 * Samsung SpinPoint-T 500GB
PSU: OCZ StealthXStream 600W
Case: Antec P182
Cooling: 5 * Xilence RedWing for the Case
Noctua 120mm clipped onto a Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme

I got 60,300, with the FSB @ 450MHz (Multiplier @ 7). FSB and DRAM 1:1.

Show me what score you get in 3DMark, and your specs. Also can you give me some advice on how to overclock my CPU further, and to get the most out of my memory.

Just about 30k - 3500+ Venice @ 2974MHz // 7800 GTX OC'd slightly but with 2x PCI-E slot....as card doesnt fit in 16x slot I due to nb hsf being in the way. Now ive got it to fit and work in the 16x slot Ive somehow installed vista onto the machine and its bareley work benchmarking in from what I can sustain from its super pi times compared to the same system running XP.

Phenomenal score for a CPU that, wonder what you'ld get with a gfx card, you wanna give it a try.

Yeah. Have you got it on the default settings? Its very low for a 8800GTS.

I can only get 32k with 8800GT and E6300 at 3.2. I am using Vista, which I think kills my score... are the guys with big scores still on XP?

I'm the same, only 33k in 01' with a q6600 @ 3.6, 8800gts 640mb, 4gb of ram etc. Using vista ultimate. Get just under 13k in 06. Must be the OS.
