Hi Guys,

I have found mixed reviews on this graphics card i personally think it has been fantastic since i bought it a few weeks ago, i just want to know how everyone else is getting on with theres.

The noise is a bit louder than other cards but its not THAT BAD, and heat mine never goes above 80c? How do your cards perform?

Best cards I have owned. They have lots of character, are not as hot and noisy as people make out and are still the second fastest card Nvidia have to offer when AA is enabled in games. And as this card is a high end card you would think people would want to game with AA as such its a no brainer at the current price imho :)

Had mine for a few days now, performance has been very good.
Idle noise at 30% fan speed is fine, not much louder than my case fans.
In game noise is a bit higher than I'd hoped, but not that bad. Temps only getting into the 80s.
Noise while benching with Heaven 2.1 was pretty high, not something I want to do too often!

The 480 is replacing a 280, the 480 is noticabley louder in all areas.
I've actually bought a Zalman VF3000 which I'll be fitting tonight. I just wanted a quieter experience while gaming, with the possibility of running a decent overclock with low noise/temps.

i have found with decent airflow in your case than the 480 performs nicely, im about to mod my CM scout to have a bit better airflow and have to instake fans hitting the heat pipes on the card so hopefully it will lower the temps a bit so there is a bit more room for an overclock, i dont want to watercool it because i find it too expensive for a whole kit

I'll be able to add my comments on this card in a day or two as I've just ordered one. I convinced myself I didn't need it when it was at £195, but it really is the best price/performance high end card on ocuk regardless of what series it's from, something I think too many people seem to be more worried about rather than actual performance.

All I can say is good luck to other retailers trying to shift 480s at their current prices :D

Card is sweet, had no problems. Added a after market cooler and droped about 20C.

On stock volts, had it up to 800. Was planning to OC it, but haven't got round to it

That's good news, having bought one of those myself but not fitted it yet!
Did you find it easy to fit?

Cheers,
Rick

I've got the MSI 480, it was really easy it install except for locating the hidden screws under some foam spacers. The cooler fits perfectly.

I was annoyed the my Mobo couldn't supply enough power to it and ended up using the PSU.

Also, the power connector is not compatible with the cards so I had to install the fan controller Zalman provide.

Daily use its on minimum, gaming I put it up to about 30%

Apart from these two issue, I'd say it's a good cooler
