Your best CPU ever!!!

XP 2600 was the first chip I managed to get to a good overlclock on but the Q6600 has surpassed all expectations. Desite having problems reaching 3.6GHz, a 1.2GHz overclock isn't to be sniffed at. :D

Happy days!

Another vote for Barton xp2500 mobile. An easy 2.52 on air, more was possible, but was just not needed for anything more than prime95 or Pi calcs.

I just wanna know what is the "Barton of today" :)

My current Intel E8400, running at stock speed on stock fan. It blows away my previous P4 3.4Ghz and overclocks way better without freezing on first reboot aswell.

I also have a Pentium Dual Core E2200 overclocked at 3.02Ghz with a stock fan, not bad at all.

In the past though I remember my Dad's old P200MMX blowing away my previous 33Mhz 486sx. Upgrading that to a Duron 700 was a smaller step up, but then getting a P4 3.06Ghz when they first came out was also awesome!

Current E8400 is the best step up since the old Northwood 3.06Ghz P4 though!

I loved the old Barton/Tbird days. I had a XP1700 and a 2500 Barton (which I still have), the Barton is still runnin 3200 speeds a good few years down the line in my sisters machine.

Since the days of the barton I came straight in a a Q6600, this chip is a 1.2125 VID and will reach 3ghz at less than stock voltage which will do me.

I forgot about my AMD 2600-Mobile, if I recall it ran 1.6GHz stock and overclocked to 2.5GHz on air with relatively low volts.

My Q9450 has impressed me more than any of my previous 7 CPU's. Coupled with Vista 64 it's so damn responsive, love it.
