Galil for me, can't stand the AK74U personally as it just doesnt have enough power for hardcore modes at all :S

^^ One of my most effective classes, AK47 (AR version) with red dot and extended mags is probably my favorite and most versatile killing class.

as an afterthought. Has anyone else found that the pistols are pathetically weak and the flashbangs overpowered?

Pistols are pathetically weak in softcore mode, which is why I play hardcore as much as possible. Softcore mode in Black Ops has way too low damage its designed for console gaming not PC.

Yes both.

I don't remember the flashbangs being so annoying in previous games, or maybe it was just that they were used less, I dunno. Luckily Tactical Mask Pro takes care of that problem. It takes up the slot of Ninja which seems redundant in this game compared to the previous CoD games where it was highly useful.

Last night, I got your girl into Last Stand. I used Deep Impact to Double Tap her Bouncing Bettys. She sucked me like she had Iron Lungs, I am glad I had Juggernaut. We went all night using Extreme Conditioning. Her Sleight Of Hand got me to Sonic Boom all over her face. Luckily for her I used Steady Aim so none of it went on her hair. We went round for round because I was packing Bandolier. And you didn't here us because we were both using Dead Silence.

My favourite is the noobcannon /w noobtube attachment, with the golden gun sidearm. No recoil perk and 9 lives perk.

Quite fond of the G11 (no sight) with akimbo pistols on the nuketown servers for picking off window/garage campers and running around like a maniac.

If not then use Kiparis or Famas with pistols or a bow.

Yeh the pistols are horrible, i miss the Cod 4 deagle.

Kit i use most is bolt actions sniper, ghost, steady aim and a random perk 3. score better with ak47u/ak7 run and gun chasing the spawns but can't be bothered. I actually run and gun with the sniper rifle when i'm proper into it

Try running and gunning with L96A1 + silencer + acog

hilarious when you do kill someone tho.
