Have you ever had those moments in games where you fail so badly not even doublefacepalm.jpg would suffice?

For me it probably has to be when I was playing through FFVI Advance, I'd beaten Kefka and was training my party ready for the Dragon's Den. After getting most of the characters levels I was going to use in to the 90s and have them learn every spell in the game I decided to take a short break and start a low-level game. I'd gotten to the first savepoint where I was going to save the game and, for some reason I cannot comprehend to this day, overwrote the save file I was using for the Dragon's Den run. All of that time spent getting to that point in the game and then levelling my party gone in a instant, overwritten by a save at the very start of the game. I shall not lie, I cried a little that day.

Lol the above is class.

Tense game of CS:S, my team rushed and I was a bit late to the party. They all got wiped out within the first two minutes! I managed solely to wipe out the whole team, bar one, got the hostages and headed to the garage. I had a funny feeling he would be behind the crates so threw a grenade. Yeah it bounced back and blew me and most of the hostages up. Worst of it was, he was behind the crates! :(

Sorry but :D

Funnily enough, Shadow of the Colossus, which I'm trying to play right now. Very first colossus. Just cannot do it. I seem to have changed as a gamer in five years. Very little patience for repetition and totally wacky control schemes. Such a shame... it used to be my favourite game of all time.

Sabre Wulf on the BBC Micro many, many years ago. I was on my last life, had collected all of the amulet and was about to walk into the cave to finish the game when a critter came up out of the ground and killed me. To this day i've no idea why I didn't have the sword going as I walked into the cave. Then to mock me, on the game over title screen the game came up with you have finished 99% of the game. I never played it again :(

Biggest fail?... Gotta be the first time I played a Pokemon game and I didn't relise I could go down the stairs, spent about a hour wondering what todo

Im always doing silly things that usually involve me failing a mission because I just wanted to see what would happen if I shoot the guy I'm supposed to be following or whatever. I never learn.

only one i can think of recently is, on stalker Call of Pripyat, for the first 5 hours or so, i was lugging around absolutely everything i owned and picked up, complaining that i had to drop a bunch of cool stuff because i physically couldnt move if i carried everything. not only did i not realise you could trade with NPC's, but i also didnt realise you had a personal box with infinite space.

whats even worse is that i started dropping the half decent stuff i didnt want to carry on the floor in the main base in the hope no one would take it.... two steps away from the personal box
