For me, it is only recently that consoles have been of interest.
I had the "pong clone" as a kid, my first real console being a Master System which I loved - played all the classic arcade games of the time, Space Harrier, Outrun etc.
That was the last console I owned until a PS3 and then more recently PS4.
I moved away from the Master System to an Amiga and from the Amiga to PC gaming exclusively, before the PS3 was purchased initially as a Blu-Ray player only (it was the only Blu-Ray player on the market that got regular software upgrades).
I'm still not "into consoles" in a major way.
Really enjoying the PS4, but I don't keep looking on the horizon for what is next.

PS3 slim - doesn't really count as it was a replacement for a faulty fatty.

I remember the days
. I still do this now because the batteries in the GG eat away fast. I had to repurchase an adapter though but again, the wire is really short but it's workable.
