Your current Fish tank Setups!

I had one of these (57cm):

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00N79EIB8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

in my Aquareef 200, nice and bright, waterproof and has the advantage that it's only 12v going into your tank rather than 240v!

I had a 37cm blue one as well; both on during the day, and had the white one on a timer to switch off at night.

These things are pretty cool too: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JOQA6I2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Lets you dim the light if you want to (also has some strobe and other effects too, but the fish might not appreciate it...) :p

Thanks I've currently put some ikea led in the plastic housing, 4 strips but they are not bright enough.

I love your polyp garden! I'm working on mine - they seem to be fussy about position in the tank a lot more than I thought.

Yeh i find zoas hit and miss depending on which ones you get, so many nice colours out there, gardens look best once they start to grow out.

Looking good. Struggling with my corals softies and zoas growing well but lps seem stuck not growing at all :(

Try some different foods, target feed at least once a week.

spook does the vibrant stuff help with green algae on the glass of the tank. im fighting a loosing battle at the moment. i cant scrub hard enough.

Yes indeed it does, i am on my 6th dose and already i have to clean my glasss less now, the bryopsis algae has turned white, incredible stuff.

aquarium-connections uk are going to be the uk seller of this product, i have already spoken to them and they are sending me a invoice for some, 16oz bottles are £55.

this is the worst side of it. the front and opposite side arnt to bad as i have been scrubbing with one of those algae scrubbing pads.

Do you run gfo?

I get an algee bloom when its time to change the edia in my reactor. I use rowaphos personally for po4 and nopox (methanol dosing) for no3. Not to speak for spook but he runs bio peletts which do roughly the same job

Time to start checking your levels with a good kit (i use the red sea algee controll kit)

i know. its a full time job. i have tried reducing light times but still doesn't help and quite frankly i have 2 beautiful black ice clowns and i cant exactly see them without some light.

i run carbon pellets and change my polly filter every week along with my 20 percent water change. i have thought about rowaphos in the past but i am a firm believer of keeping things simple. if i start messing with the filtration then the more issues that can arise.

i may look into some more red sea testing. i use their marine care kit and looking to get hte reef foundation to move from fowlr to full reef. their testing is top notch but not cheep.
