Please make sure it's correct on the forum. If you lose access to your account for any reason, it's one of the things we use to verify your ID. There have been a couple of instances recently where people haven't put in the correct DoB and it's caused big issues trying to recover their account. In one case, we weren't able to prove ownership and couldn't help the person. We were 70% sure that the person trying to recover the account was genuine but unless we're 100% certain, we won't grant access.

Click on your name in the top right, select Account details and it's shown there. If it's wrong, please start a thread in Forum Content Discussion and we can correct it for you.

While you're on that page, check your email address and correct it if needed.

At the same time, make sure you have a copy of the Backup codes because they're important. These codes can be used to get into your account if you break your authenticator app or you change devices without taking a backup. It means you can recover your account quickly and without our intervention.
In your account page, click Password and security, click the change button next to Two-step verification, enter your password when prompted and then click the Manage button next to Backup codes. Make sure you have a copy of these codes and save them somewhere where they're accessible from anywhere.

Is there any reason why it needs to be a birth date? Shirley I can put any random/meaningful date to me and use that?
If you like. The chances are that if you lose your 2FA details and the important place you save the backup codes, you'll lose the place you save the date reminder as well. Don't be so obtuse (oh, I forget you can't) :p
