Your Essential Camping Items?

So me and a few friends are going camping on tuesday, we've organised it to what we think we need but to you, what would be an essential item to take?

Excluding the obvious; knife, spork, foon, cup, plate, toiletries, axe, towel, phone, money and a few snacks. What other items could I take? Any item will be taken into consideration

. Edit: Turns out i missed the obvious; tent, sleeping bag, mat bits lol.

Headtorch. Cant go camping without mine, means your hands are free to do stuff. Saves you pee'ing on your boots at night!

Tent, sleeping bag, airbed, pillow, lamp, clean clothes, plastic bags for rubbish and to keep stuff dry (especially socks), washbag.

Barbeque to cook, coldbox, local supermarket for MEAT, ice and beer. Radio for entertainment.

Job done!

Sharp Knife (if you forgot the Swiss army Knife)
Bin Bags
Loo Rolls
Bug Spray
Lighter, Matches
Lighter fluids (for starting a camp fire)
Camping chair
Spare battery for your phone
Lamp, Torch
Wet Wipes
4 Litre bottle of water

I'm off 'camping' for 3 days next week this is what I'll be taking with me:

Knife
foldup saw
Sharpening stone
A basha (tie it between two trees and sleep beneath)
sleeping bag + mat and bivvi bag
A firesteel
A billy can
Water bottle
Spare clothes
Rations and brew stuff
First aid Kit

Apart from a few luxury gadgets like camera and binos that's all I will be taking, I'll be cooking over a fire so don't need stoves and fuel.

If you're taking a knife and axe make sure you take a well stocked First aid kit and know how to use it, especially with an axe. If you don't know how to treat major axe wounds or how to use an axe properly and safely don't use it at all. I have a couple of axes but wont be taking it as any firewood I need I can just saw it. If you're using stoves why are you taking an axe at all?
