Ok, so I thought I'd start a thread, that may go well, may crash and burn, but figured it was a nice idea.

Most of you guys (if like me), probably have days when you go, hmm, maybe I should try cooking X, or maybe I can mix these ingredients randomly and it might taste nice, but who knows....

Alternatively you can just post your slight twists on classics. Let's say you try making spag bol with sour cream or something odd, and it just works for some reason xD

If you've got pictures, want to share the experiments, go for it :)

I'll start off with something I tried the other day:
Basically this was Pasta Fajitas.

I've been having Fajitas for a while now as my main dinner, and thought I'd try a bit of a change on it. I'll try and post rough measurements, but a lot of it was just throw stuff in and hope xD

Pasta - hand made:
100g Flour
1 Egg
Half a portion (guesstimate) of chicken.

Sauce
200ml Pasatta (guesstimate)
Pinch of mixed herbs
Pinch of Salt/Pepper
1 Large Pepper
1 Small White Onion.
Any leftover chicken from the pasta part.
1/3rd of a sachet of Fajita Mix

Ok, basically:
Egg into flour, mix well (I know some people will like to use a higher egg/flour ratio for their pasta, this tends to be what I use though).
Roll thin (Mangler works best for this if you have one)
Cut sheets into 1.5" squares

Whilst mixing the egg and flour, lightly fry your chicken, so it's probably about 4/5ths cooked, make sure to put a small amount of fajita mix in with the frying chicken.

Ok, now you're going to want to start putting your diced chicken into the squares and basically make it into Chicken Tortillini (I'd recommend a light egg wash to make sure the pieces of pasta stick together).

This'll need about 3-5 minutes in a saucepan of boiling hot water once you've made it :)

Whilst you're making the Tortillini you can start on the sauce.

For the Sauce:
Pasatta into a saucepan. Start heating it up until it's simmering/boiling.
Chop Onions and Pepper (dice again), lightly fry.
Throw into the Pasatta. Leave for 5 minutes or so.
About 2 minutes to go, throw in herbs/salt pepper/ and remainder of fajita mix.

Tortillini and Sauce should now be done, so serve and enjoy :)
