Disney are currently about halfway through turning their fairytale classics into live action films. It started in 2010 with Alice in Wonderland and their latest is Aladdin in 2019. So far, in order, we have:

2010 Alice in Wonderland
2014 Maleficent (reverse of Sleeping Beauty)
2015 Cinderella
2016 Jungle Book
2017 Beauty and the Beast
2019 Dumbo
2019 Aladdin

Upcoming: Lion King 2019, Mulan 2020, Cruella 2020 (reverse of 101 Dalmatians)

Confirmed but no year yet: Hunchback, Jungle Book 2, Lilo & Stitch, Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Snow White, Sword in the Stone

What have been your fave so far? Perhaps also write down when were your formative years and what classics you saw first time round. Also, if you have children, what do they think of the remakes?

For me, I'm 40, so my formative years were the early 90s. This means that I saw the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin in those years.

My favourite remakes are:

1. Beauty and the Beast (for the nostalgia + the actress)
2. Cinderella (because of the actress)
3. Maleficent (because of the complexity of the 'villain')

Honourable mention goes to Alice in Wonderland, although I need to see it again. I've got the blu-ray and there's a sequel to it which I have as well.
