Your favourite gpu, ever? Blast from the past..

Man, just installed my 8800GT I got off fleabay. I sold mine a while back many moons ago.

I miss powerful single slot cards I think they look so sleak compared to one banged up with fans hogging 3 slots, it's very loud though.

For a card that's about 5/6 years old it still runs games at decent looking settings at 1080p, I think the 8800gt is one of favourite cards i've owned in terms of all round performance. No chance of getting BFG RMA nowadays.

Begs the question, what is your most enjoyed gpu you have ever purchased?

Some pretty awesome cards listed, 100% agree with people saying you used to get more out of them for the money you paid due to how much gaming expanded years ago.

I wonder if in 5-10 years time we will be saying oh the 670, 7950 etc etc.

Isn't it nice to have a thread on the graphics card forum without a red vs green battle!!

Its quite incredible how many really old cards that have been abused and clocked as far as possible and still work, see so many dead gpus right now. Anyone think that the quality has dropped? Has cost overrided quality.
