Kinda failing to articulate adequately what I mean, any item that is flexible, can be used on various dishes and augments/elevates it to a decent degree, heres mine;

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Belazu-Balsamic-Vinegar-Bottle-250/dp/B008GS2Z06/

This balsamic vinegar is amazing, MUCH better than regular, fantastic drizzled on garlic bread.

I thought this would be tw@tty middle class nonsense (which i guess it is to a degree), but it works on loads of stuff, scrambled eggs for one.

What's yours?, not mainstream regular mind.

Depends how you define 'mainstream'...

I use a lot of stuff from the South African shop in a wide variety of dishes, which isn't what you'd call mainstream over here. Hardly anyone I know, who isn't themselves Saffer, has heard of Monkey Gland Sauce and they balk at the idea of me putting it on their burgers... until I make them try it, having explained in great detail that it's not actually made from monkey glands.

I`d say that's def not mainstream lol, noted.

Definitely a bit ****** and mainstream....but I find dried ancho flakes great for all sorts of things. They give a nice smoky umami sweet flavour without being overpoweringly chilli-like.

Gutted when I ran out of sea salt from Gozo :(

Was looking at ordering online but its daft money :( regular salt just doesnt cut it any more hahah

The romano cheese from costco is fantastic on pretty much everything :D

I bought a quite expensive jar of proper nduja from a local deli way back in June I think. It's a tiny jar but the beauty of it is you can keep adding olive oil to it hence it lasts forever!

It's beautiful with eggs of any sort.. in an oozy egg bap, on avocado toast etc. Like a hot sauce but with actual flavour.

Sriracha. Henderson's Relish. Gherkins. Smoked sea salt. GOOD pepper. Kewpie Mayo. All essentials IMO.

I like this, I`ve never heard of this Mayo & the Henderson's Relish.

Smoked paprika is often a welcome addition.

Agreed, & very flexible.

I hope it is the Steers one....it is so good.

Tabasco. Always Tabasco. The standard version. Also....

Encona hot pepper sauce.

Same. I will splash it on everything drives the wife mad she always says, "aren't you going to taste it first" nope straight on with the chilli sauce.

Some interesting variants of this.

These small items are a good idea to bundle with Xmas gifts.

Their Scotch Bonnet version is decent.

David Cameron's also a fan of Encona, I remember seeing it in his kitchen.
