Aye. In terms of FPS, you'll get a bigger increase with the X1800XT than with the CPU. Your CPU is already pretty fast atm.

lol I remember mine. The 1st real gf card we had was an 8mb 3dfx voodoo card in my dads 500mhz time machine. What a heap.

Since then my 1st pc had a 7000 which I upgraded to a 9550 and 2 days ago I got a X800XT and i love it.

Exactly as -|ScottFree|- said, it came a week late so I was very anxious to get it and when it arrived I just couldnt believe my eyes. 1st proper upgrade since I built my 1st computer, 3 years ago now.

I went from : Geforce MX400 (Came with a Time computer lol! )
Radeon 9800 Pro

And thats it Waiting for DX10 now.
