What broke and when was the last time you had a boo-boo during a build. Mine just happened ...

Needed to thread my windows ssd data cable around a few things. Thought to myself, "I really should unplug it", but just decided to start threading anddddd .....SNAP, off popped the data cable and took the plastic casing from the SSD with it, leaving just the bare connections.

Last time I had a PC accident was years & years ago, so was really annoyed with myself for rushing and being lazy.

Still, after the tidy up plugged the cable back in (straight onto the connectors) and whilst it is very loose, it works fine. I even gave it a little wiggle whilst running some ssd tests and it seemed fine, so PHEW!

Accidents happen to the best of us even after 20+ years of pc building. Morale of the story ..NEVER TAKE SHORT CUTS!! :D

i just had one the other day loool, when i was changing psu i took the gfx card out and it must have been resting on the sata connecter on the mobo and as i tried to the pull the gfx card it pulled the sata cable and white connecter off the mobo!!
its now just bare pins as i cant get the connecter back on and now i have used another spare sata port!!!
bit of a bugger really as i will most likely try and sell the mobo if and when i change it

I had one a few years ago when I got some nice new led fans for my case. I replaced the front 3 fans and cleaned up some of the wiring to make it look nice and tidy, however when I put the case back together one of the fittings for one of the fans was a little bit tougher to put back in.

I thought nothing of it at the time and put everything back together, started it up but the fans didn't come on, turns out that the last fitting was a little tougher than the rest because I'd trapped the wires for all 3 fans, cutting them in two when I forced the fitting back into place.

Snapped one of the retention arms on the HDD trays on the 300R.

Bit of black nasty and it'll do until the replacement arrives.

I've recently, when re-fitting my GPU (after a clean) knocked the USB External cable .. Now only 1 of the case ports works.. Can't be bothered to fix it yet.. :)

So far only once have i screwed up and it was a big one about 16 yrs ago i learnt the stupid way what the voltage switch does on the psu very big bang lucky for me only the psu went i was only around 12 and just starting to get into building pc's

I bent the USB 3 pins on the motherboard when installing the cable. I should say I installed it correctly but then it popped as during cable management and then I pushed it back in bending one of the pins irretrievably. Had to return it.
