Anyone got pics of their internals with lian li V1000's.

A ruler along the bottom bay would help too ;).

Watercooling shots very very welcome, also whats the difference between the different models, plus etc.

Just scouting out this case for someone, need to know where the rads gonna go.

Tom

The plus model is easier to watercool, the hard drive mounting system and partition is screwed in down below making it easier to fit a rad down there.

If you're putting the rad down below then you're going to have to mount any hard drives in the 5.25 area.

The measurements from front of the case to partition that the PSU sits behind is 288mm, just big enough for some 120x2 rads. Unless you plan on reinforcing this area I recomend keeping that partition in to support the (albeit minimal) weight of the central horizontal divider.

If you're mounting the rad up top you can fit a 120.3 up there so long as you don't run a sound card in the bottom pci slot and drop the optical drive down a few places.

Snapped these quick for you.

I'm going to watercool in the next week or two and plan to put a 120.2 down below.

The v1000 isn't a huge case and I think if you plan on going 1/2 tubing with 120.3 and a big internal res it's going to be tight and take effort/modding.

However it's deffinately well suited to a slightly smaller system as everything will just fit easily. All subjective to the persons needs obviously heh.

Anyway, hope that helps, goodluck mate :)

Whoa, thanks mate, you are a legend.

Great pics and description :). I'll look into the rad placement now!

Theres no worries about modding it or anything, i fit watercooling as my job ;).

Anyways, once again thanks!!!

Very tidy cables in there mate, it looks like an empty case

What kind of SATA power cable is that? Does it come with the Corsair PSU or is it some special adapter to power 3 drives so neatly?

I have a V1100 but its the same interior so here are some WC pics:

CPU Block: Storm G4 (Original)
Rad: PA160
GPU: Polar Flo TT
Pump: AquaXtreme 50Z

how do people get their cases so neat and tidy. Mine looks like that scene from Brazil when robert denero is doing some 'moonlight' plumbing (you know the scene i mean - the one where he gets back to find his apartment full of wires and tubes).

Tom, more than welcome mate, if you need any other pics or measurements just ask. Look forward to seeing photos of the finished job please!

Day03 all power cables are default to the modular Corsair PSU. I just routed the cable behind the dividers and ran it under the drives to hide it from the front.

Nick, the psu is stupidly good, makes less noise than a 7volt 120mm fan under load, the voltage on the rails just do not move (spent two days testing every single one) I was about to buy an Enermax when OCUK got these in stock .. and being a complete and utter Corsair fanboy I couldn't resist.

The case is tidy, but it could be better, no wires were cable tied behind the motherboard mounting panel so you see a black mess up the top of the case poking out from behind and the motherboard 4 pin power could do with a hole drilled through the central divider to allow it to be neater. The Sata cables will be replaced also but as I knew the drives would end up in 5.25 bays I wasnt about to put too much time into them. All that will be done when I water cool, I knew I'd be pulling it to pieces again shortly.

Nicest case I've ever used and I've gone through a lot of the Silverstone range. So nice that I'm thinking I'll buy 2-3 more and keep them stored in their boxes incase Lian-Li ever stop production.

Careful planning for cable management. In my case all power cables are routed around the 'back of the case' (owners of V1100s and 1000s will be more familiar with this) - both case side panels are removable and there is a gap between the back of the motherboard tray and side panel.

If you look closely in the pic you can see the cables all coming in on the left of the mobo.

In general though if you think about cable routing long enough there is usually a way to make things neat and tidy in any case. Cable ties help!

Good pics guys :) and a good discussion going on here.

cypriobrit - what size shrink wrapping are you using there? this is a good idea for me to "tamperproof" the connections.

I've got a PA120.2 lying here, ready to go & i am in the process of trying to figure out where all will go.Have my old rad sitting outside my case just now.It does need a tidy up as well
