Whats your longest drive you have done in one day guys? I have around a 600 mile journey to make tomorrow which involves two 300 miles legs. York - Bmouth and back. Kind of worried about it tbh! I'm sure with a few breaks each way it should be okay. Bit worried about traffic too being a Friday and close to Christmas. I was planning on setting off around 6am to try beat some of the morning rush hour traffic. What tips do you give yourselves when driving long distances?

:)

St Davids to Prestatyn.

It's not a huge distance, but it takes blooming ages. 326 miles ~11 hours with a couple of stops

As for long trip tips, take plenty of breaks, make sure the car is topped up on fluids, tyres are correctly inflated etc, the usual stuff. If driving at night, it can be worth having a 30 min sleep in a rest stop somewhere.

937 miles, Northampton to Copenhagen....with a cat the backseat.

Holy batman!! Well done. I bet that took some effort staying alert. Seems as thought the average is around 3-400ish. Which previously is all what I had done. I have a choice of 2 vehicles, either my work van or Audi A5. I was tempted by the van as It will be a bit cheaper on fuel, but no where near as comfortable as the car, maybe that will be a good thing though for keeping me alert. Will check everything over today.

780 miles, I once did a service call in my early career in Glasgow inside a day, I was based in Henley-on-Thames at the time.

Derry -> Rosslare (279 miles), found out the ferry was cancelled due to the weather so back up to Dublin to catch the seacat (another 100 miles) and then from Holyhead down to Guildford (307m)

so nearly 700 miles, had a break for about an hour for the ferry crossing but otherwise all in one run, never been so tired in my life.
