So then, what would you guys love to see added to the universe/game in the third installment? What would really take this already awesome game to the next level for you?

Personally, I'd like to see:

- More people and interaction in the cities, I want the seedy back alley bars and blackmarket shops with alien traders that I can do real RPG trading and bartering with. I want a real living, breathing city somewhat along the lines of Assassins Creed

- Loot! Not just four pieces of interchangable/customizable armor for each bodypart but real loot with real stats, along with more than 2/3 gun options for each slot

- A deeper RPG element in loot and stat trees

- A more involved interaction aspect with the ME universe and its people, they did it great in the first and better in the second, but I'd like to see it taken even further and have my actions make an impact I can really see when I'm walking around the cities/stations

- More alien boobies

Tbh, integrate some stuff they cancelled out from ME1, like the variety of equipment you could use and re-introduce the Mako but keep the combat and graphical aspects of ME2.

more mako, less bloody planet-scanning please.

But dont get rid of all the glitches, they're fun :D

oh and a return to inventory and the demise of 'heat-clips' please.

  • Balls to the over simplified combat lark. Giv back inventory, random weaps/ammo plz.
  • Anything but forced planet scanning. I saw early on that replayability would be a joke due to this. Must have played ME1 well over 10 times and never got bored. ME2 was played through just twice mainly because I just cba doing this mundane task over and over.
  • Quarians! - Do want to see Tali 'properly' please!
  • Oh hai thar Rachni Queen! :)

Can't think of anything else tbh.

Edit the save file to avoid this? If it bother you that much I mean.

It bothers me that much indeed. Its amazing when devs miss such a simple concept of mass repetition. Please help me edit the file on my 360.

Keep combat as it is, with some obvious tweaks to make control better.

Open up larger areas with side missions, such as the citadel. While i enjoyed the combat, i'd love to see more non-combat side missions.

A better main plot i loved the story from the 1st mass effect and wanted to see it expanded in the sequel but all we got was 14 hour worth of helping side kicks and a couple of hours with the main story :(

General

- Give me my damn crouch back.
- The old armour and weapon systems.
- No "missions" - give me back my traditional xp system you gits!
- No planet scanning/ bore fest.

Plot

- Give ME characters more of a role.
- Less sidekick plot.
- More focussed main plot (massively more).

The first game was flawless plot wise, but a little clunky on the controls. The second one had the controls spot on, but the plot wasn't in the same league as the first, probably because they went down the FPS route, rather than sticking with the action RPG route. Shame really.

Both games are utterly immense though. I'm sure the final part won't dissapoint!

To be honest, the inventory in ME1 was pointless. I like inventories as much as the next guy, but you just equip Spectre gear and omni-gel everything else you pick up. There's actually more meaningful variety in weapons in ME2.

Really suprised people are requesting the return of the Mako. I guess you didn't do all the mineral collections, that thing was a nightmare. Scanning isn't that much better, but it's certainly faster. I like the mission exp rewards thingy, it encourages tackling the missions in a clever way, rather than the idiocy you'd do in ME1, getting out the mako to shoot things because you'd get more exp when it was tactically ludicrous.

I doubt there's many ways they could manage this, but I'd like less linearity, so a few branching missions leading into new trees, rather than just one way and you choose whether to complete or not. More guns, just a few mind, but a few choices so that you don't just pick the *best* one and forget about choices.

ME1 was ace, ME2 was ace, all I can ask is that ME3 is also ace :D

Give us back some space, I say. There was little sense of scale or environment variety in ME2 for my taste. If planetary scanning is kept, it should at least have an option to be delegated to some faceless officer littering your bridge!

I would also like to see an option to send previously non utilized squad members(let's be honest, you hardly ever use the entire cast) on parallel missions, so they can gain XP and cull away the total number of grinding that has to be done by the player. It would give the player a greater sense of command, especially if characters could get injured or killed if you sent them to do the impossible. ;)
