Your most moving song?

One of the most moving song IMHO has be the hanuting Gortoz A Ran taken from the Blackhawk Down soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. Always gives me a lump in my throat when I listen to it.

However, the real emotional clincher for me has to be Desperado by The Eagles. My dad was a big Eagles fan who sadly lost his battle against cancer last September and passed away. This track was one of those played at his funeral, and even now, 6 months after his death, I can still can't listen to it without welling up, if not breaking down for a while before I can regain my composure. :o

Fields of the Nephilim - Wail of Sumer
Fields of the Nephilim - And There Will Your Heart Be Also

One song, split into 2 parts. Both from the album Elizium.

I have had friends who aren't Nephilim fans comment on the fact that these are the most melancholy songs they have ever heard. I think they are hauntingly beautiful.

Concrete Blonde - Tomorrow, Wendy has to right up there with one of the saddest songs i have heard.

Enter Shikari - Adieu

and another vote to Jonny Cash - Hurt

And depending on the instance that its used. Sigur Ros - Hoppipolla

Vaughan Williams - Symphony No. 2 (A London Symphony) - part II. Lento

I've listened to tons of music, particularly dance music with it's beatiful breakdowns amidst the rough beats of a rave, but only classical stuff like this can truly capture my heart strings these days.

Iris - Goo Goo Dolls. More for personal reasons than song quality, but it gets me every time.

And +1 for Hoppipolla, it's a shame it's used as backing music for every show/advert known to man. Though I was only introduced to it thanks to the adverts for Planet Earth when it first started, so whenever I hear it I imagine scenes from that amazing series - it fits so well

said it before, will say it again Ryan Adams - La Cienega Just Smiled

other notable mentions:
Iron & Wine - Resurrection Fern
Josh Rouse - Sad Eyes
The Be Good Tanyas - Junkie Song
