Your most moving song?

ok i think ive changed my original songs. screw them, the lighthouse faimily have such moving songs...
the cranberries - linger is also moving for me..


no doubt - dont speak has a special place in my heart though. even though its not that good.

H.R.S.A by Blue October genuinely choked me up a bit when I first heard it, which is unusual. Particularly this part:

I learned quick, knew what to say
then three angels walked my way
in Spanish tongue they knelt to pray
and said "God keep him safe
from screaming voices"

They became my family
outstretched their hands are on my head
you know, I can feel them breathing
they actually knelt down and prayed for me
they actually knelt down and prayed for me

It's powerful when you hear it, the mental image of these nurses/nuns kneeling down and praying for one man and what he must have felt seeing these three women ask their god to keep him safe.

Super choice sir. Probably his best. Very, very moving lyrics.

I also find American Pie, also by Don McLean, very moving. It was my fathers favorite and we played it at his funeral. I still find it hard to listen to for that reason.
 
Paul van Dyk - Vega

Have known this track for six years and it's been my absolute favourite song for all six. I can listen to it normally and appreciate it it as a fantastic song that's very unlike PvD's other stuff, or listen to it when I'm feeling not-so-great and hear it in a completely different way. No lyrics, but I personally feel that sound can be a lot more moving by itself, especially in this instance.

I also listen to a lot of ambient and chillout stuff and much of that can be quite stirring.

saw parkway drive live, freging amazing :D - awesome song aswell, torn between this and romance is dead
