Depends on the game and the interface.
Steam is the only platform I feel comfortable buying a game from where I don't get the retail box.
Call me old fashioned
I answered - Retail box.
I voted buy game and get it shipped because I'm on 2mb ADSLmost new games would take forever to download.
Also most of the time it's cheaper to get it delivered than it is to download (unless steam etc have a sale on)
May as well ship the boxes out with slow mail after sending the code.
Also, this.
My net sucks.

Code sent via email, plus a confirmation of the physical copy being sent in the post later.
But maybe giving the option for the code only, or for both physical and code sent.
My point was more along the line of; If you're going to throw the boxes away, why not just post them out. I will admit I have no idea what that'd cost but seeing as an email costs nothing...well the point is that if you want the box then you will get a boxed product on release day anyway using our current system
you cant play it any sooner if you get the code early, it just means that for pre orders you get it around a day before release and for existing releases, you get the game immediately rather than waiting for postie.
there is no point giving you the code then sending the box later on a pre order as you cant play the game any quicker but i guess it would ensure that you get the game on time regardless of the post service.
pros and cons each way i guess.
That's why we are asking for feedback![]()
