I was fiddlng about with Vista manager the other day and you can set your PC's model number in there. Being as I build my own PC's I had to think of a model number. So I thought, How many different builds have I had inside my case? 5 it worked out to be. I bought one of the first Zorro cases which had a reasonable build quality in about 2000 I think. So my question is, how many builds have you had in your current case? (Excluding simple GPU upgrades) Mine is 5 in 8 years.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum.

2 in current case but plently of upgrades, from socket 478 to core2duo to name one.

"old cases" not worth mentioning as i did not build them myself but did upgrades and the like.

I dont know though to be honest. Whether its best to just use a new case for a new build or to keep the same one for a very long time.

Thinking about next build. what to do. i fancy a antec900 though i am happy with my current case.

I'm not sure if they constitute completely different builds but I'll say two as pretty much all the hardware changed between the two apart from the CPU.

I've lost track of how many boards have been in my Eclipse now. Off of memory: 3 P5K-e's, a DFI Expert, 2 DFI Ultra-D's, an Asrock VSTA, An Asus P5B deluxe.

also, in my 2nd nicest case ever made

Coolermaster SX1000, had just the one board in there with the 1600gb raid3 array :)
