Your plans for 2010?

I will be keeping my 599 and Q7s. Thinking of changing the 120d for an S3 Sportback.

Bikewise I'm lusting after another 'Busa so the GSA may have to go. I have quite a few mods planned for my Fat-Bob, mainly new Ceriani forks and other front end components.

Spie I was expecting you to post your taking out shares in the company which provide the rear tyres on your car :p

I haven't had the "pleasure" of buying new rear tyres yet, although I upgraded to the HGTE handling pack in summer which included new tyres. Next year will cost I'm sure.

I didn't realise you had a 120d. Are you not tempted by a 135i in your quest for a more powerful small car?
No. I've driven the 135i and although it is quick it doesn't feel any faster than the 120d low down. It also has tiny seats and is rather expensive.

I'm really more of an Audi man than a BMW man. I love Audi interiors and I hate to say this but I think the build quality is better. Audis are a tad boring to look at but the S3 should be a lot of fun

Decide if I am to keep my VXR and run a saloon along side it or just get rid and just have the saloon.

If I keep the VXR then I'll be getting my Alloys refurbished, rear defuser sprayed black, front grill sprayed black, side skirt scrape sorted, boot strip sprayed black, retro fit projector lights and xenons, fit in-dash satnav/DVD.

New bushes for the Puma, not sure what mix of powerflex and frp/oem yet !
New tyres, probably Toyos and a proper alignment
Possibly new suspension, getting it looked at - if so a 30mm drop so it will look less 4x4 !!

I would really like a full milltek - 4-2-1, sports cat and cat back but at £900 its lots of money to spend, we shall see ;)

My automotive plans for this year...

Remember to service my car, get the knocking CV joint fixed, maybe clean it, and hope it lasts this years 40k miles...!

Survive Evo Ownership.

And as secondary targets (in no particular order):

Get car checked over properly by JRM, possibly remove Gizzmo EBC and use an Ecutek map with a 3 port boost solenoid.
Replace Autobahn 88 Intercooler with an AMS cast end IC.
Sell number plate.
Refurb spare set of Front Brembo's and replace the current ones.
Norris Designs or JRM drop in rods (K1/Manley).
Replace HKS induction kit with something else, possibly Blitz SUS.
MR Headlights.
Re-pipe in factory BOV to recirc.
Sell kidney to fund carbon addiction. Carbon wrap everything else when money runs out.

Thats more than enough, and I doubt it will all get done.

First priority is finish the engine rebuild on the 200SX, then drive it. Doubt they will be any further modifications unless they are going cheap with Group Buys and all. But one thing i will do is sort out the bodywork.

 you didn't just go there did you.... :D

plans...

save, save, save.

ill get a performance car when the time calls, far more important things in life to invest in atm whilst im young.

2010 will see me waiting for a Red E46 330d Touring, with beige leather and navigation to come up for sale.

That plan may extend well into 2011~2015

I'm at a bit of a crossroads so I think I'm just going to see how I feel. I start my proper post Uni job just after Christmas so if I wanted to, I could replace the 530i this year, perhaps with an M5. Trouble is whenever I drive it I still love it, its in great condition and... I dunno, I dont think I've finished with it yet. Might spend the cash on some more foreign travel. The big problem is that I absolutely crave the new F10 535i M Sport. Trouble is assuming I get an Approved Used one at 12-18 months old its going to be 2012 before thats possible. Not sure I want to still own my car at 10 years old so I might need some sort of interim car. Hmmm.

Assuming the 530i stays, the following are happening this year:

1) Revised steering wheel retrofit (Jan/Feb probably)
2) Complete BMW Comms Pack Retrofit (March/April I would imagine)
3) Some sort of new exhuast, fancy an Eisenmann but they are almost a grand and I'm not sure its worth it
4) Paint brake calipers

Should do.

I was in the same boat earlier this year - I.e. Eisenmann on the 330d, suspension upgrade, etc.

I went for the M car.

As for my plans, wheel refurb on the M3 and lots of track days for the 318 :D

You are looking for a gold plated needle in that particular haystack

Never seen an Imola Red E39 or E46 without a black interior. Infact I'm not even sure you can get them with beige, as is the case with Titanium Silver?
