Hi guys, I am completely new to DSLR photography, but been out on one shoot so far and really enjoyed it!
Using a D60 with a borrowed 55-300 lens atm.

Not sure how to best edit the pics though, so what are your opinions on the following? And any tips? :)

On photoscape, I used a lot of their "auto" options, and on Gimp, I used some "Unsharp Mask" and a bit of Brightness adjustment.

Care to share your opinions on the above and help out a newbie please?

Thanks

Thanks for the comments guys, given me plenty to work on!

The ISO was up quite high as I was indeed hand holding the camera, so fast shutter and wasn't the brightest of days, but I downloaded lightroom trial and here is another edit:

I think it gets rid of a lot of the noise. Does seem to be quite a good program, may have to invest in it soon, although I will check out those GIMP plugins.

Thanks for your help so far!
