I broke my PC this weekend, and I think I've killed the motherboard.
The ATX case appears to be fine and the PSU also seems to be putting out power.
Does strike me that I could bin the old motherboard/Athlon/ram and replace with a new bundle such as this cheapy option from OCUK:

For £108 I get a could get an Athlon x2, motherboard and 2GB of ram. I know it's nothing like bleeding edge, but I'm really not that bothered as my PC rarely gets used for games more advanced than NWN and even my 3 year old Athlon was adequate.
So, my real questions are:
- My case is an ATX unit, I assume that the new motherboard should drop in quite nicely. Would you expect any compatibility issues?
- Are there better options at similar (very cheap) prices?
Thanks in advance.
