Bit of a long time lurker, have always used oc.uk for my components, so hi!

Any input appreciated; my budget is 600ish (give or take 20quid)

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail

OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Platinum Series DDR2 (OCZ2P10664GK)

Asus P5Q Deluxe Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (ST3500320AS)

Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail

Samsung SH-S202J/BEBE 20x DVD±RW IDE Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM

Asus Silent Knight II CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/LGA775)

That comes to a total of 585 including delivery. I already have an antec 1200 case and 650 neo power psu which I picked up at I34 for 160.

Any suggestions if I should change anything? My only concern is I have heard rumours about OCZ compatibility with Asus boards?

Any feedback will be appreciated, cheers.

is the p5q deluxe actually needed take a look at the p5q pro i'd also get a wolfdale cpu instead of a q6600 and maybe might want to change out the cpu cooler to a tuniq tower

Well my friend just did a similar build, and has recommended the deluxe over the pro, although I am struggling to see the difference personally. What is the advantage of the deluxe over the pro?

Didn't like the look of the Tuniq tower, purely from a price point of view - my case will provide ample air flow, and other coolers will do a job for less money.

Wait til the tuniq is on this week only it's usually on this week only ever 2 weeks its seems as for the difference it isn't much esata and a few other things you probably wont need
