Simple question, I'm about to come into 180 quid that the Mrs has told me
I can spend on anything I like but if I don't spend it she will.

So I currenlt game at 1080p res and have a shader unlocked 6950 with SB i5 (spec in sig)

Would it be an idea to pickup another rev 1 6950 while I have the cash and while rev 1's are still on the market? Or give the cash to the wife :)

To be honest, if you think your current single 6950 unlocked to 6970 is handling your games (or would handle near future games you think you would play) well enough at 1080p, you could consider spending the money on something else...for example, may be stretch the budget a little and get a 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD? :D

Crossfire 6950 unlocked to 6970 would no doubt be a fast beast, but if you can already max out the games you play at 1080p on your unlocked 6950, going down the crossfire route might not seem to be such a good investment, especially consider how quick the value of graphic depreciate with the release/toward the release of new gen cards...
