your tools

so whos a brand whore when it comes to tools? my self I go to carboot sales and pick up good branded items that looks tatty for cheap, aswell as using ebay for other items , if I need something right away I will go to Halfords as there range is very good, infact I got one of them £75 tool deals they do every so often and I don't think one item has broken yet, this was 5-6 years ago and it gets heavy abuse

my car been a VAG it requires some special fitting spline drivers so ive managed to pick up a good selection these type of tools aswell

my best bargin was a huge roller cab on wheels for £30 from a mate at work.

heard good things about sealey from a few people, my latest addition to my collection is...... a CV boot cone , £10 for a bit of plastic

still, I aint paying to have it done.

could do with a nice little allen key set as I only have a few ball ended ones ranging from 4 to 10 mm or so

just found a load of old britool spanners

forgot I had em!

oh ye, I also have me some of them Halfords flex- ratchet spanners - VERY handy!

what screw drivers do you guys use? I have a fairly strong set but they are mostly assorted sizes of Phillips ended , I could do with some more flat ended ones.

Saturday carboot time

, new items I am going to look for is

small tool box
screw drivers to fill the above
some half inch sockets
some different sized ratchets , can never have to many!

wood / metal / brick drill bits.
torque wrench - old one fallen to bits!
star bits that fit to ratchet
more swan neck spanners

+ batterys for camera for pictures :cool:

I don't recall anything else breaking though. I do look after my tools as much as I can

every now and then I give all my ratchets a spray of WD40 , I had one of them metal thingis lol with around 8 or so torx bits on it. Now I only have 3 of them left, they all broken and refused to replace as I don't have any proof of buying them any more.
