What are your most memorable and enjoyable gaming EXPERIENCES? Top 10 would be nice. I'll get the ball rolling...

1. Half Life 2: Dr Breen's Realisation that Freeman is back (talking to the Combine Lord) "I'm not sure, but I could have sworn it was [looks over to you]...Gordon Freeman!" The way that Valved weighed down Breen's expressions, body language, etc was masterful

2.Civilization 3: After playing for hours upon hours and getting right to the top of the technological tree in 1750AD. The Manhattan project and stealth done to death. I bomb my neighbours to kingdom come. And then I think. Whats the point. Thank gods thats over with

3.Half Life: The opening train ride. If a game spends the first five minutes setting the scene like this, you just know the rest of it is gonna be the dogs danglers

4.Metal Gear Solid: Gray Fox Vs. Metal Gear Ray. Sure, it's a cutscene and you play no part of it. But I remember watching this for the first time on a big telly with my PlayStation hooked up to my surround system at full blast.

5.Final Fantasy VII: Escaping Midgar, thinking you're coming towards the end of what was a very enjoyable game, and realising there's a wholo world to explore!!

6.Counter Strike:Source: After hours and hours of trying I couldnt hit a cows arse with a cricket bat. The first head shot I got with that great big Dirty Defender was a sweet moment. I didnt care for all the shous of "HAX, HAX" on Vent

7.Silent Hill:Again another one played on the big screen with the surround sound on. The scene is where you are running through some kind of courtyard at night. You have to get a key off one of the corpses but there is no lights on. Truly frightening. I never knew adrenaline was that colour

8.Kick Off 2: One for the old timers. Essentially THE Best footy game prob upto ProEvo 4. Nights and Nights of practice getting the aftertouch right only to see your shot ballon over the bar or well wide. In the end it paid off, that sweet sensation of scoring your first goal. It was like winning the world cup.

9.World of Warcraft: Your first Gryphon ride Between Capital Cities (eg. Stormwind to Ironforge, or Orgrimarr to Thunder Bluff). All in real time, with not a loading screen in sight. Only thing I liked about the game

10.Half Life: Enter the Marines...

That's my top ten. anyone else?
