Warhammer 40k Dawn of War 1 & expansions (though this may be due to the memories of multiplayer fun with mates as opposed to the actual game)

Sadly not enough space on the list for Sid Meier's Alpha Centuari, XCOM 2, Cannon Fodder, Theme Park, Sim City 2000, Doom 1+2, NOLF, Max Payne, Dishonoured 2, Monkey Island, etc

6. Assassins Creed 2 Revelations (enjoyed the series but revelations/brotherhood was my favourite for the story part)
7. COD: Modern Warfare
8. Fallout NV
9. Mass Effect series (up until 3)
10. Subnautica

^^ among many others but these games changed my view of gaming at the times they came out.
 
Half life 1&2. Great storylines and no helping hands to guide you. Just figured stuff out for yourself.
Day of Defeat 1.3. First game I played in a team environment and loved it. Well over 1500 hours on this game.
Assassins Creed. Just the ezio storylines.
Modern Warfare 1&2. Hours of fun pub stomping
Runescape. Lost interest after grinding out a comp Cape sadly
Left 4 Dead 2. Enjoyed the challenge of speed running with friends through this game.
Roller Coaster Tycoon. Only enjoyed the original Chris Sawyer versions
Overwatch. My new love. Frustrating as hell to play sometimes but the times when it all goes your way are great fun.
Mass Effect 1-3...excluding the last 10 minutes of ME3
GTA series. Too bad they've ruined online by milking peoples hard earned.

Hard to fall in love with new stuff. Too much DLC pay2win these days.
 
Really difficult list to make. Here is what I can think of at the moment, these are not in any particular order;

1) Rising Storm / Red Orchestra 2
2) The Elder Scrolls: Online
3) The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
4) The Curse of Monkey Island
5) Rollercoaster Tycoon
6) The Sims
7) Left 4 Dead 2
8) Age of Empires
9) Medal of Honour Allied Assault
10) Little Big Adventure 2

Some in this list are just games I played a tonne when I was younger, and I still think fondly of, even if I don't play them now.
 
1: WoW up to and including Wrath of the Lich King - Stopped caring about the game after that, I would say though that WoW was the best game I've played.
2: Joint Operations Typhoon Rising - Was easily one of my favourite games back in the day, spent a lot of time playing this and its expansion. Never enjoyed a multiplayer FPS as much I did JOTR.
3: SimCity - Loved pretty much all of the SimCity games over the years even including 2013. One of the first games I ever played.
4: Rollercoaster Tycoon 1, 2 and 3 - Let us never speak of Rollercoaster Tycoon: World.
5: The Settlers - One of the games that got me into games, looking forward to the new one.
6: Command and Conquer - Enjoyed most of them, but a special mention goes to Red Alert as being my personal fav.
7: The Sims 1 and 2 - The first games were memorable but then started to get silly with all of the DLC that put me off.
8: Battlefield - In particular 1942, Vietnam, Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 1
9: Rimworld - A standout management and strategy game, love playing it on the hardest difficulty settings on the polar biomes
10: Hidden and Dangerous - Full of bugs, but I spent so many hours enjoying it I've all but forgiven the game for them :).
