Just bought Hardland (and made a little vid). Just wandering what you thoughts are.

Personally I thinks it really good. The graphics style I haven't seen before, it's like figures are model made of clay.

I can only see this game getting better and better. And when the developers says there are no rules to the game that's potential for limitless fun!

My brother says it reminds him of Little Big Planet, not really sure having not played it.

@ThaReaperGuy, yep you worked me out Sherlock. Problem is though, the force is weak with me so I have to rely on a mere mortal's method of marketing.

And I'm a young Jedi so cut me some slack Jack.

:)

TheReaperGuy has a valid point, there's no need for your condescending reply. It's a great community but this kind of business or self promotion is frowned upon and rightly so.

You provided no links to the game website, no pictures or useful information

Much like youtube people only start to pay attention after you have been around for a while.

Post count is the same as View count. Post a bit more and get involved and you may see your channel grow somewhat. It isn't easy but you never know.

True!

I am a little cheaky sometimes, sorry Reaper!

It has gone to Early Access and is available to purchase.

A little bit about the graphics as this is really important factor in this game:
Here's a short breakdown of the asset creation process, let's say we want to create a fox character. [copied from http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=40541]

1. Pixel art concept is drawn in front view to make the next step easier.
2. Copy and paste the pixel art into Qubicle Constructor and extrude it as a 3d volume.
Then define the main forms and split the model so you've got separate head, legs, body and tail.
3. Import the voxel asset into Blender. Add bevel modifier and cast modifier.
At this point it's good to animate the basic moves: Idle, walk, run, attack, block, take damage, death.

TEST THE MODEL IN THE ACTUAL GAME, IF IT’S FUN AND WORKS PROCEED TO THE NEXT STEP.

4. You now have a better idea what worked well and what didn't on that particular character.
It's time to paint the concept art for the final version.
5. This is how the final model looks like in the game.
It was modeled in Blender and Zbrush and textured in Photoshop.

Personally I think the prototype models looks kind of cool too.

Does anyone know if the game is going to be multiplayer?

If you could put the info from the above post into the original, I am sure most would be grateful and would help raise your "usefulness" as a member :)

I was about to click away from the page if not for the Steam store page link someone else posted.

As already said, self promotion is not what were about around these parts, if you want to do that, goto Facebook and Twitter.

I will keep my eyes on this, potential is there.

http://hatintime.com/ is my preferred adventure game at the moment.

As for multiplayer, hmm.

Local/Online 2 player co-op would be nice but personally, I would prefer a tight campaign.

Gimpymoo. I will in future but in order for the post to make sense I'll keep it as it is.

I'm not sure Hardland is going to get that 'tight campaign'. Here's the developers vision:

Our vision of Hardland is to give you a procedurally generated fantasy world full of interesting characters, creatures, quests, and mysterious places. We will not dictate how you should play this game. We simply set the stage and let you tell your own story.
