Ok, funds are allowing me to purchase a largeish vehicle for my daily commute to my new job....

With damage limitiation in mind (i.e. its taken a depreciation battering because of recent events), i'm really really moving towards a MG ZT CDTi.

This is the M47 (x20d) lump from BMW (although in FWD application), and in all fairness, Rover were owned by BMW at this production point in their life, and although BMW had little input into the car, there is a certain BMW built quality to it and it shows....

I've found one of these on an MY03 in trophy blue for a staggering £5300 with full history and only 33k on the clock!

A quick remap will see this move to 170bhp and an increase in torque 354nm which is good for me! Full leather, sat nav, climate, cruise, the works.....

Your views?

Yes, an E39 5er would be nice, but its going to be pre y2k (or literally JUST after) and will have horrifc mileage!

Somehow, i was looking forward to your input...Thanks Fox

Is my age an issue though!?

26! Thats why i opted for ZT rather than a normal 75

Who gives a stuff about your age? Do you like it? Can you insure it? There we go then.

Nice! ;)

I just think they have an awesome road precence, and tbh, they are one of the most comfortable cars i've ever driven or been a passenger in on a long journey. Road noise is completely inaudible, stereo is good as standard, and I feel that they are (in some areas) superior to the E46 (seat comfort and stereo being top on that list!), although in my book the 75 is more 5er class. I feel like I could honestly drive it for 10 hours straight without a break!

There is still 4 months warranty left on this vehicle, so i'm fairly confident in the purchase!
