I'm sure there are a few of us who do weekly meal plans, and thought it would be good to post them for others to steal. Where I've stolen the recipes (we do this all the time) I've put the website.

I'll add that it's all vegan, but a lot can easily be adapted to include meat. This week I got some African spices, so my meal plan reflects that. The other week, I had fresh dill, parsley, thai basil, mint, basil and thyme so based it around that. I like some sort of 'theme'.

We tend to go food shopping every 10-14 days spending around £45-£55 (at Lidl) and maybe another £15 at Tesco, so we do have leftovers, or sometimes a cupboard dinner depending what we have. Though it was a takeaway pizza last night!

  • Ethiopian berebere coconut curry (Crumbsmag)
  • Summer Galette (The Guardian)
  • Kuku Paka - East African Chickpea Curry
  • Sticky Shittake with noodles (Bosh)
  • Ghormeh Sabzi
  • Harissa Pappardelle
  • Butter beans with salsa verde & ciabatta (The Guardian) - This would be great with lamb!
  • French lentil and rocket salad with 'cheese' (Food 52)

Yours are clearly a lot more exciting than ours.

We tend to rotate the following over the course of about 4 weeks, some are duplicated where you can easily have a variety such as curries, to avoid repetition.

Curry
Chilli
Carbonara
Pad Thai
Nasi Goreng
Jacket Potatos
Fajitas
Chicken Tacos
Burgers (Beef or Chicken)
Pasta with meatballs
Homemade Pizza
Shwarma Chicken (It was a Waitrose recipe with yogurt, chickpeas and pomagranate seeds. It's delicious but can't find the receipe now)
Fish (Usually seabass/salmon)
Kebabs
Goulash
Roast (Usually chicken)

Those are probably our "go-tos" Everything is pretty easy to do, and some can be made in about 10 minutes from start to finish (Carbonas, Pad Thai, Nasi Goreng), so are great when we don't have much time.

If you fancy something a bit different, i'd highly recommend something like this, should be easy enough to make it vegan using chickpeas.

We rock a planned 5-day keto menu, then wing it on the weekends.

This week has been:

Mon: Chicken fajita courgettes boats
Tues: Pulled pork, coleslaw, lupin waffles
Wed: Steak, fried turnip and bacon, steamed broccoli
Thurs: Homemade chicken nuggies, roasted mediterranean veg
Fri: Burgers with keto rolls, walnut & feta salad

You guys are so organised...i tend to pop out and buy whatever i fancy on the day/maybe day before. :o

I used to be like that, but now spending 30 minutes a week on a meal plan and going shopping once is saving me so much money. I used to go to Tesco/Lidl every other day and could easily spend £35 each time as I didn’t have a list.

Did the weekly shop which includes lunches, breakfasts and snacks last night and spent £65 (including a box of beer). I reckon we won’t need to go shopping for 10 days. Meal planning ftw!

It's good to see other people are as anal as me and plan their weekly meals in advance. We generally know every meals we are having for the following week so when we do the shopping we buy what we need and have no wastage. We usually cook one meal that will last a couple nights, have one batch cooked meal from the freezer and then fun meals for the other nights from one of the cook books.

This week we are having ras el hanout chicken on Mon and Wed. BBQ t bone steaks with baby potatoes on Tues for my birthday. Pulled pork tinga wraps on Thurs with left over tinga frozen from a BBQ the other week and Fri we are having joojeh chicken kebabs. On Saturday my parents are up visiting and it's the first time I've seen them since January so I was going to get some ribs to smoke for them. Sunday is going to be a lazy day so we'll have a takeaway.

This Sunday I'll cook a chilli which will do me and the missus for dinners in work from Monday to Thursday and for we'll also prep some oat drinks to have for breakfast in the week.

All veggie recipes as girlfriend is vegeterarian. Easier enough to add meat to them though. This week was:

Hallumi Tacos (Olive Mag)
Udon Soup with bak choy and poached egg (kitchn)
Tricolore couscous salad (BBC goodfood)
Paneer Pepper curry
Carribean style veg chilli
